Loic SIMONIN

Loïc Simonin a grandi dans le Haut Doubs près de la frontière suisse, il a commencé a travaillé dans l’entreprise fondée par son père et ses trois frères assez tôt, ce qui l’a amené à choisir le métier de charpentier, par goût pas par facilité. Il a étudié au lycée du bois de mouchard (39) où il a réussi son baccalauréat STI option bois et un BTS système constructif bois et habitat. Après ses études, il s’est mis en quête d’un emploi en bureau d’étude. Sur le point de partir travailler en Suisse, il est sollicité pour partir en chantier dans les dom-tom. Il a ensuite continué de travailler dans l’entreprise, a occupé de nombreux postes en production puis en bureau, en programmation de machine. Toujours intéressé par l’informatique, c’est naturellement qu’il a commencé à faire de la géométrie paramétrique : ce qui l’a amené à travailler au dessin et à la fabrication du pavillon de la France à l’expo universelle de milan en 2015.

Loïc Simonin grew up in the « Haut Doubs », near the Swiss border. Early on, he started working at his father’s company, which developed his interest for wood work and led him to become a carpenter. He graduated from Lycée du bois Mouchard with a BTS degree in wood constructions. After his graduation, he was offered a job as a construction worker in French overseas departments. He stayed with the company and progressively moved from production to programing posts. His interest in IT led him to practice parametric geometry. In 2015, he contributed to the designing and making of the Pavillon de la France for the Universal exhibition in Milan.
